It was a joy to run our third family trip to St Michael’s Mount. We love visiting St Michael’s Mount on trips like these where families come with us and we then take children accompanied by our staff team in small groups throughout the year.
For todays trip we enjoyed a calm boat ride to and from the island! Kerry, the island education officer, and Claire an island volunteer, showed us around the village following the Cormoran trail with a giants twist on ‘we’re going a bear hunt’ – we went on a giant hunt instead! After we’d found all the letters on the tail we enjoyed Kerry’s storytelling in the learning hub. We also enjoyed a picnic lunch in the bowling green and had an ice cream treat whilst on the island! Kerry shared an amazing new 3d model jigsaw of St Michael’s Mount with us, the children adored exploring this. We also had a special treat, going to explore the St Michael amphibious vehicle!
Thank you to Kerry, and Claire for another WONDERFUL, memorable trip to the island! What a brilliant adventure. We cannot wait to visit again.
