We offer quality learning experiences for children.
We set THREE challenges for World Book Day. They were based around fostering a love for books!
We were incredibly impressed with the effort families put in. It was wonderful to look through all the photos of children exploring books with family and friends, reading stories in unusual places, borrowing books from people they know, going to the library to explore books and borrow books and so much more.
WOW WOW WOW!! Some of the settings that children read their books in were: the lifeboat station, the train station, on the train, Mousehole harbour, on a swing, in the woods, at St Michael’s Mount, at the quarry, at the farm, in the garden!
There was some lovely feedback from families saying things such as – discovering a new love for audio books, planning to read out in nature again as it was so memorable and exciting for their child, going to go to the library more often and making plans to continue book swapping with friends or neighbours. This is fantastic to hear. Thank you for all the positive feedback from all the families who took part. The children looked so proud with their certificates and we awarded prizes for completing this challenge. It was lovely to see the whole group celebrating their peers when they were awarded their prizes for completing all the challenges!
The entries to this competition were incredible! Families were so creative in taking books to read them in a matching setting. We’ve popped a gallery below to show some of the wonderful entries.
