We offer quality learning experiences for children.
Here is an introduction from their website – linked below. We recommend taking a peek, there is also a brilliant short video to watch on their website.
“We know that being a parent today means juggling a lot – work, home life, and the constant buzz of notifications. Mobile phones are part of everyday life, helping us to get things done, from arranging play dates and ordering the food shop, to managing work and checking school notices. Parents have told us that sometimes, phone use can get in the way of the moments that matter most. Those everyday chances to connect, respond, and share time with their children.
In a recent survey of over 400 parents and carers in Cornwall, more than half said they feel their phone use sometimes distracts them from noticing their children. Over a third shared concerns about how often they use their phone around them.
90% of a child’s brain growth happens before the age of five. The way young children’s brains develop is shaped by the adults around them. This is simply through talking, smiling, looking at each other and being interested in what each other are doing.
Children thrive on social connection. Across thousands of little moments during these early years, you are helping them build the skills they need to have a healthy and happy life. Noticing and watching alongside as they play, smiling across the playground at the end of the school day.
The more we chat, play, and read with our children, the more we help build their brains. But when we’re distracted by screens nearby we may miss those small but powerful moments to connect.”
