We had another wonderful visit to The Edge of the World Bookshop in Penzance today. The children were really excited to go into the shop and look at all the lovely books. We chose some books to read whilst we were there. The children found the Julia Donaldson collection and talked about the books they have at home and the ones we have at nursery! She is definitely our favourite author!
We then explored which book we’d like to buy to bring back to our nursery library for everyone to enjoy. With our current focus on The Stickman, and our love of exploring nature, the children decided on a book all about the nature we could see throughout the year.
We are really looking forward to using this book to find out more information!
We also saw a lovely sound book that shared lots of information about bird song, habitats and what the birds look like. This Preschool group really do enjoy exploring nature and finding out about what they hear and see.
The children were, as always, very polite when we were out, using lovely manners and two of the children even saw their Nanny in town, they gave a big cuddle and happily carried on with our trip! Well done everyone. We can’t wait to visit next time! We’ll be looking for a book especially for our Toddler Room, for the Pre School children to gift them closer to Christmas.
