Penlee Little Explorer’s Visit

Penlee house gallery and museum invited us to join in with their Little Penlee Explorer’s session and the children loved it. We walked to Penlee house and on our way we had many conversations about the season changing to spring. We were able to tell due to all the bright flowers growing and also all the birds singing. Once we got there we sat down to eat some snack to fuel up ready for our adventure around the gallery. We started off on a scavenger hunt where had to find certain things that were in the paintings. Some things we had to find were ” the queens crown’ and ‘the fisherman’s blue jumper”. Once we found all of the items we head upstairs for a story time which was all about animals in clothes. The children showed their amazing listening skills and were super involved with talking about their favourite costume. After this we went back downstairs and to carry on the theme about clothes the children made their very own washing line. The children had a fantastic time and I just wanna say how amazing they all were, we were super proud of them all. Well done!
