We offer quality learning experiences for children.
At least once per term we visit The Edge of The World Bookshop to buy new books for the nursery. The children choose the books from a topic. During the Summer the children chose a book called ‘The Last Giant of Marazion’ and ‘Cornwall’ as we were exploring local stories. In the Autumn Term we visited again and the children chose Jonty Gentoo after reading a copy that one of the children brought to nursery. They also chose a pop up book to gift to the children in the toddler room! It’s always lovely to see the children’s love of books blossom and how much they enjoy trips such as visiting the book shop. We’d also like to thank one of our parents from last year who gifted the nursery some book vouchers to spend at the bookshop to continue taking children on these trips as their child loved them so much. Visiting the bookshop is also a great chance for the children to practice talking to the staff who work in the shop and to buy items too, building their confidence!
