We offer quality learning experiences for children.
We love using natural materials to create art and Pre School’s art skills and creativity have been shining this week!
As part of introducing the Stickman story this week we have been listening to the story and creating characters outside. The children have been extending their understanding of big, small, long, short, thick, thin etc to describe the materials they need!

Our Stickman!

Our Sticklady!

The children also collaborated on the field to make the family tree creation too!!

As well as exploring how to create a stick man – the children have been creating firework pictures using nature finds, such as pine cones, conkers, and pine needles. They have been rolling, rattling, shaking and banging pine cones in trays to move paint around and create firework effects as well as some great noises too!

Plus using pine needles to paint on fabric hung vertically in the garden. Painting on different surfaces and at different angles is great for our developing muscles and coordination.

Some of our focus words explored this week: thin, thick, longest, shortest, rattle, shake, roll! Super vocabulary building Pre School!
