Gool Peran Lowen! Happy St Piran’s Day from Team Pre School!
We had a brilliant walk to Morrab Gardens today where we had a picnic snack and then watched all the local primary school children as they danced through the gardens to the bandstand for the St Piran’s Parade. We listened to the booming drums and the brass bands as the parade came past, and we waved our flags in support. There was a man with an enormous St Piran’s Flag flying it above the crowd which the children particularly loved! We listened to the Mayor of Penzance make and speech and then everone sang Old Trelawney together. We then left the gardens as they sang Cornwall My Home, we could hear the singing as we le were walking out, we left whilst it was quiet before the crowds started to depart. The children then walked back to nursery ready for their lunch and a Cornish pasty freshly baked by their friends! Well done everyone! What a memorable experience and you were all wonderful, as always
Thank you to our parent helpers who came with us and all the parents who met us in the gardens or on the walk on the way back! It was brilliant to bump in to so many of you along the way too.
