We offer quality learning experiences for children.
We always celebrate Remembrance Day at nursery with age appropriate activities and conversation for the children to appreciate and understand the importance of the day. Children made poppy art work and held a two minute silence at 11am at nursery. Some of our Pre School children attempted a walk to the War Memorial on the Promenade to look at the poppy wreaths that had been placed there during the parade on Sunday. Unfortunately – the wind and waves on the promenade halted us in our tracks and we made a swift retreat to the library to shelter. We still managed to spot lots of poppies on our walk and talked about why people wear them and have them on display in shop windows and on their cards.
Our walk ‘almost’ to the War Memorial – diverted to the library!
