It was wonderful to see our Early 3’s children exploring Penlee House Gallery and Museum together. The children were highly motivated by the sea and boat themed activities and it showed through their engagement. The staff couldn’t believe the children’s level of conversation and keen interest in the museum. Well done Early 3’s, your behaviour was incredible.
The children had a wide range of activities to explore, lots of them took a keen interest in the books on offer and spent considerable time exploring these. We really are proud of the children’s developing love and curiosity around books. They also explored the sensory trays and light panel looking at all of the shapes and objects and manipulating these to represent boats and other items. A firm favourite was using the magnifying glasses and binoculars to explore the exhibits in the museum. The children were spotting the smallest of details and asking wonderful questions about what they were looking at.
We were very impressed by the children’s curiosity and exploration of the museum, it was really lovely to see. Well done everyone! We can’t wait to visit again – and thankfully there are lots more dates already booked in the diary!
