Have you ever painted with pampas grass?

WOW! Pre School made some incredible mark making with pampas grass. This is a brilliant activity in so many ways. Painting on a vertical surface has lots of benefits for children, it encourages them to use and strengthen their muscles as they lift and reach in different ways to painting on a flat surface such as a table. There was fantastic teamwork with children inviting each other to join in the activity and giving each other space to join in. Painting like this requires careful control to create the marks. We were very impressed by Pre Schools engagement with this activity and the end results are fantastic! There was lots of great conversation alongside their painting and it looks very relaxing to be creating art in the outdoors too. The children were careful not to splash any paint on the ducks as they wandered past!
