Visit from the Fire Service as part of our Intergenerational Care Partnership

Thank you to Frances Bolitho Care Home for organising a visit from the fire service. To start the visit, some of the fire fighters joined a group of nursery children and residents in the care home to run activities and sing songs before then going out to explore the fire engine. One of our members of staff, Faye, was kitted out in the full gear! The rest of the residents and children from nursery were already exploring the fire engine! They all had the opportunity to wear a fire fighters helmet if they wanted to, some of them wanted to sit in the fire engine too! The fire fighters turned their lights on for everyone to see too! There were lots of interesting facts – I wonder what the children will remember to tell you?

The fire service have now loaned us an activity box for the children to continue learning about the fire service and the incredible work that they do. Thank you!
