We offer quality learning experiences for children.
We love animals here at nursery and the present endless learning opportunities. The children have cared for our ducklings so beautifully this year and we are very proud to now see the ducks laying their own eggs teaching them first hand all about the life cycle of a duck. The children also had opportunity to meet one of Ben and Tom’s granny’s lambs earlier this year which was wonderful and very memorable for the children! (See our Baa Baa Black Sheep news post for photos of this!)
Now they’ve met two kittens aswell! Kate’s husband brought the kittens in to visit the children in the afternoon. They arrived in their pet carrier in their fleece blanket and then came out to meet the children. This was met with lots of quiet whispers, wide eyes, gentle strokes and happy giggles from Pre School who asked lots of interesting questions too. The toddlers and babies also came to give them strokes and were equally as gentle and excited to meet them.
One child in particular could not stop saying ‘I love the kittens, I really love the kittens, I love the kittens!’ We didn’t manage to take many photos as the children just wanted to stroke them and then let them explore the floor which required a little extra supervision, but here are some photos for any of the children who want to tell you about them visiting, plus some photos from home so you can see them properly. Hopefully we’ll be able to arrange more visits soon so that the children can see how they’ve grown and spot the differences such as their eyes changing colour.
