We offer quality learning experiences for children.
WOW!
We are very impressed with Pre School today. They are superstars. Their behaviour on the trip to Morrab Garden’s to see the St Piran’s day parade today was outstanding.
As we left the nursery we found a lost dog called Ruby, after quickly reuniting it with it’s owner we carried on!
We walked to St John’s Hall where we had a loo stop at the library, the children started to spot the St Piran’s flags in town. After this we walked to Morrab Gardens and down the steps past the fountain, as we walked through the gardens we saw the band playing and the last two schools dancing their way along to the bandstand. The children really enjoyed the sound of the big bass drum in particular!
We waved our flags as the children came past and waved hello to some familiar faces in the crowd and parade too. We then walked closer to the bandstand where we listened to the speeches before the singing started, the children joined in with the applause enthusiastically.
The school children and crowd all joined in singing ‘Old Trelawney’ and ‘This is My Cornwall’, which was rather special in the sunshine. The atmosphere was fantastic! After this we walked up Morrab Road towards Penlee House and Gallery, where we had another loo stop, a look at the fountain and then went back to Morrab Road to watch the parade as the children came out of the gardens and went up the road. The children were very excited shouting ‘its the parade’ as we walked back to watch it! Here we met the babies who had also been out on a walk, together we watched the parade which was lovely for two of the children who met with their younger siblings.
We would like to say an ENORMOUS thank you to our two parent helpers for joining us today, it was lovely to have your company on this special day for the Penzance Community and our children. Once we got back to nursery – we went straight for our lunch!
