We offer quality learning experiences for children.
What a busy week preparing for the King’s Coronation!
The children have been talking about all of the special jewels in the Royal Crowns and created their own very sparkly versions ready to wear to our Coronation Afternoon Tea with Frances Bolitho Care Home. A group of our Pre School children joined residents from Frances Bolitho to make even more glittery crowns for the residents to wear too! We have also made some personalised bunting with red, white and blue handprints turned into crowns with pom poms and gem stickers too. The bunting looks wonderful hanging in Pre School! Our babies got creative too, painting wonderful Coronation Flags!
Our Pre School children have been busy creating very elaborate castles out of wooden blocks, foam bricks and other materials. This is after exploring stories about Kings and Queens in preparation for the King’s Coronation. Our Toddlers also created a super Buckingham Palace from delivery boxes which sparked lots of games of peek a boo amongst other conversation around the Coronation.
The children have been particularly fascinated by King Charles’s Coronation Crown so we created a loose parts activity for the children to decorate his crown. There was lots of counting as the children carefully placed their decorations on the crowns and lots of conversation as to who King Charles is.
