Here is a snapshot of some of our comments from families, received in January 2025. These comments mean the world to the staff team and we are sharing them here, with permission from the families, to give a taster of how our families feel about their child’s care with us.

“I am writing to share my heartfelt appreciation and feedback about Bolitho Nursery, where our daughter,*****, has been attending since she was 9 months old.
We have been thoroughly impressed with the exceptional care and support provided by the nursery staff. Since starting, ***** has shown incredible developmental progress, and it is evident that their nurturing environment and engaging activities have contributed greatly to her growth and confidence.

“We could not be happier with our experience of Bolitho Nursery and recommend them to anyone asking, with an all-round glowing recommendation. Bolitho is an exceptionally well-managed and nurturing environment. ***** leaves at the end of the day, bouncing with joy and exuberance at the experiences of his day and interactions with staff and tiny play friends.
The facilities are superb all round, indoor and outdoor play equipment, creative and messy play, the room environments and activities that are held on site and further afield have been so lovely to see or join in with. I particularly enjoyed our parent and child trip to Trink dairy to learn about cows and milk (or milkshake!) production.
I feel Bolitho nurtures ***** in every way possible, helping him to become independent and confident, communicate well, be well mannered and kind and enjoy all sorts of activities and play and build relationships with his peers.
It’s evident that all the staff care a great deal and work hard to create a consistently wonderful environment and experience for all the children in their care. We are delighted that ***** has been lucky enough to have such a great start to his early years development.”

“I have 4 year old and 2 year old boys who have attended Bolitho Nursery on a part-time basis since they were each 9 months old.
The care and support that Sam and her team give to my boys is simply exceptional and I am so pleased that I chose Bolitho for their nursery journeys. It is a very safe, happy and nurturing environment, where I have seen them flourish.
The facilities are also excellent. The boys love the outdoor spaces (particularly the new ‘duck garden’ that has been developed over the last year), going on muddy walks in the grounds, as well as the free-flow outdoor area.
There is also a lovely variety of indoor activities which change according to different themes/ foci.
There are also a number of trips and visits -the care home, penlee park, the library are lovely regular outings that the children are walked to and really enjoy. The pre-school trips to local schools are also fantastic and I feel are making a real difference to helping my eldest understand what school is all about.
There are also courses that are run for the parents that are really helpful. I have attended a parenting tips session, as well as first aid, and a transition to school one. I really valued all of these -they were well-organised, educational and sociable for the parents too. I cannot recommend Bolitho nursery more highly. The friendly, happy environment the staff create sets it apart from other nurseries.”

“I cannot rate Bolitho nursery highly enough. My son has been there since he turned 1 and he is turning 4 next week. My son **** has additional needs and the support he gets from the staff is phenomenal.
All members of staff seem to know each child’s needs really well and work with them to their strengths, helping them to achieve each individual child’s potential. I never worry about **** being at nursery, knowing he is cared for and supported so well.
We get regular feedback about the things they are doing through the parent app, emails and phone calls. Trips and activities are brilliant, both inside and out of the nursery. The jingle and mingle Christmas party was especially fantastic. So much effort went into it to make it an amazing event both for the children and families.
And although all of the ladies are wonderful, I must give an extra mention to Ali, Rachel and Kate. Ali always tells the best stories at pick up and let’s us know all the things **** accomplished that day. Rachel is **** key worker and has really helped him reach his personal goals, she knows him well and really helps him even when he’s having a tough day. Implementing music and massage was a game changer and i was given the music and resources so I can do it at home. And Kate, Kate has not only supported **** by putting resources in place for him, helping complete toolkits and referrals but she has also supported me through the minefield that is SEN. As a parent I do not know where I would be without Kate’s guidance and support.
I cannot thank everyone at Bolitho enough for the fantastic work they do and for looking after our children with such professionalism, knowledge & kindness & for the support they have given me.”

“My daughter ***** has been at Bolitho nursery since she was 6 months old. I viewed a number of nursery’s to make sure I was happy with her joining at such a young age and as soon as I spoke to Sam I was convinced that this was the right place for *****.
Elizabeth was ***** key person when she was a baby and I felt really confident that she made sure ***** had as many cuddles and affection as she could at that age as well as helping her develop her motor skills.
Charleigh has also always played a big part in ***** time at nursery and I can see that ***** feels very relaxed and happy around Charleigh which as a parent means a lot.
Each member of staff shows genuine care and **** has always came home happy and tells us about what she has been up to. She particularly loves to talk about when she’s been with Lily, from what ***** has told us, ***** feels Lily knows when ***** likes quiet time and will take her off to do something one to one, e.g painting or something similar which ***** finds really calming and comforting.
***** language developed well at a young age as well as other things and I do believe that, that is because of the support and engagement that she has received at Bolitho nursery.
We as parents feel very lucky that ****** had this start to life with such a lovely group of teachers.”

“The staff at Bolitho Nursery have been brilliant at communicating with me about my child’s daily diary, progress/observations (with images and explanations of learning) and with emails regarding future events as well sending a thorough email outlining the year’s learning journey.
Emma in particular has been so lovely with my daughter, who started in the baby room, and they have a really lovely relationship which makes me happy to know that my little girl has someone she is comfortable with.”
I could not rate Bolitho and the team highly enough. ***** has always felt comfortable in all rooms and with all of the team at Bolitho. She has built some great relationships with team members and they have all done an amazing job nurturing her to achieve her best and to over come any challenges she may have had.
From a parent side of things I have had nothing but support from all of the Bolitho team to help navigate ***** early years and before her, her brother who also attended Bolitho. The team listen to your concerns and support you in the way you choose to bring your child up.
“Our son ***** has been attending Bolitho for the last 18 months and we are very happy to say that our overall experience has been exceptional.
From the initial introduction, to day-to-day handovers and end of term reports, we are always delighted with the communication we have with the team at Bolitho. The attention to detail and care the team put into looking after *****, is so reassuring. It leaves us with no doubt that he is in a brilliant setting where he is nurtured and cared for to a high level. We receive regular updates on areas that ***** is doing well in, and then also areas where he may need a little more assistance with.
More recently I mentioned to the nursery that we had an appointment with the dentist and is there anything they could recommend that we could do to help ***** feel more comfortable. The team were amazing and did an exercise with ***** and his friends about dentists and what happens. This was amazing and made our visit to the dentist go so much more smoothly than it could have otherwise.
Another example of the amazing support we receive with ***** is with potty training. From the get-go, when we mentioned that we thought ***** was ready, the team were brilliant. ***** grasped things very quickly at home and I very much believe that this was because he had had so much practice and guidance at the nursery.”
